# Choose the QF2Odoo exchanges your team needs

> Understand core quotation import, optional master-data and status exchanges, and the controls that protect commercial content in Odoo drafts.

QF2Odoo imports quotations as drafts. Optional exchanges and protections decide what else your team can see or share. Your administrator can confirm which are enabled.

## Core and optional capabilities

| Capability | What it means for your team |
| - | - |
| Core quotation import | Exported projects arrive as Odoo drafts with their product and manufacturing information. |
| Optional workspace | QF project views, source links and linked export history make imported work easier to find. |
| Optional master-data exchange | QF requests the enabled customer, supplier or catalogue article snapshots from Odoo. |
| Optional status feedback | Odoo manufacturing and delivery stages are reported to QF using configured mappings. |

A master-data change in Odoo is not a promise of an immediate update in QF. The exchange starts when QF requests it.

## Protect portal commercial content

With the workspace installed, administrators can use **Protect QF Portal Commercial Content** under **Sales → Settings → QuotationFactory**.

The setting is enabled per company by default. It protects portal-origin commercial content on draft and sent quotations from ordinary user edits. Shipping and work-preparation information remain editable, and normal quotation confirmation remains available.

## Agree price and unit handling

For article master-data exchange, the price source is configurable: supplier price with cost fallback, or cost. Confirm the intended source before comparing a price in QF with Odoo.

Sheet prices and tiers held per square metre in Odoo can be converted to per-sheet values for QF using explicit sheet dimensions. This conversion does not rewrite the Odoo master data.
